Ballroom dancer Yulia Zagoruychenko (1981-) was born in Russia and began dancing with a folk dance group at the age of four. She began teaching at the age of 11 and began winning championships at 12 and later chose to focus on Latin styles. Zagoruychenko relocated to the United States at 21 and began dancing with partner Riccardo Cocchi (1977-) in 2007. They won ten Latin Dance World Championships in a row before retiring in 2019.
