Edna Deane
Ballroom dancer Edna Deane (1905-1995) studied ballet with Marie Rambert (1888-1982) and ballroom dance with Josephine Bradley (1893-1985) and began performing professionally at the age of 12. By 1929, she was a championship ballroom dancer until her retirement in 1935. Deane devoted herself to dance writing and choreography, founding the Deane School of Dance and Drama, along with her sisters and mother.
