Mare Tommingas
Choreographer Mare Tommingas (1959-) has directed the Vanemuine Ballet in Estonia since 1997, and the company is in residence at one of the country’s most popular theatres. Tommingas studied modern dance in Germany and began as a dancer in the company, before accepting choreography commissions and the directorship. Since 2004, the organization has welcomed dancers from all over the world to join the troupe, which now boasts members from almost every continent, and the local region.
