Fernando Alonso
Cuban ballet dancer Fernando Alonso (1914-2013) was married to ballerina Alicia Alonso (1920-2019). They both danced with American Ballet Theatre (ABT) from 1940-1948 before returning to Cuba and founding the Cuban National Ballet in 1955. Although they parted ways in the mid-1970s, Fernando Alonso continued to run the Ballet de Camagüey until 1992.
