Mark Morris
American contemporary modern choreographer Mark Morris (1956-) created some of his most potent works while his company was in residence overseas in Brussels, including the lusciously colorful dance, L'Allegro and The Hard Nut, a weird and wonderful update of The Nutcracker. In 2001, Morris and his company moved into their permanent home in Brooklyn.
Michael Jackson (1958-2009) left a fraught legacy behind, but his amazing dance talent lives on.
