Born Today:
Michael Jeter

Actor Michael Jeter (1952-2003), short, wiry, and eccentric-looking, might not be widely considered a dancer, but his fearless performance in the Broadway show Grand Hotel (1989), choreographed and directed by Tommy Tune (1939-), might change your mind. Jeter was awarded a Tony for the performance. If he looks familiar, you may have seen him in the movie, The Fisher King (1991), with Robin Williams. You should check out this clip: Grand Hotel - “We’ll Take a Glass Together”.

Also Born Today: Russian-American ballerina Valentina Kozlova (1957-), who defected to the United States with her husband and fellow dancer, Leonid Koslov (1947-), in 1979.
