Pauline Leroux
French Ballerina Pauline Leroux (1809–1891) was a member of the Paris Opera Ballet and toured internationally. She studied with Auguste Vestris (1760-1842) and danced in ballets by Jean Coralli (1779-1854) and Filippo Taglioni (1777-1871). Princess Victoria (later Queen) painted watercolor portraits of Leroux and made a doll in her image, which remains with the Royal Collection. Later in her career, Leroux was a choreographer. More research is needed to uncover her dances, which may have been lost to time.
